Hoxsiac

HOXSIAC herbal drink is a registered
proprietory herbal formulation containing an infusion of ten botanicals
in purified water.
This product is based on the work of Harry M.
Hoxsey N.D. in the U.S.A. and Rene Caisse in Canada.
Both the Hoxsey and Caisse formulations are
well entrenched in public knowledge and very popular in North America
since the beginning of the 20th century. The Hoxsey formula
is better known in the U.S.A. while the Caisse formula is used more
in Canada.
At Flora Beverage Co. Ltd. we have studied
and researched the life and work of these great pioneers and produced
a new formulation that combines the best characteristics of the two
existing preparations. In light of 50 years of experience the new formula features
all the benefits and abides by the regulations in force at the begining
of the 21st century.
For the layperson's information, Dr. Hoxsey
and Dr. Jarvis (Folk Medicine), and Dr. Adelle Davis (Let’s
Get Well) all expressed their belief that iodine was dwindling in
the soil and the food supply. They all recommended supplementing the
Iodine intake with iodine rich foods and plants. Kelp is abundant in
iodine. So is Lugol’s solution, which is readily available in stores
(one drop of Lugol’s solution contains 5 mg of iodine).
In Canada, Iodine is not allowed as a food
ingredient except in table salt, while in the U.S.A. it is limited to
about 225 micrograms of Potassium iodide a day.
Kelp is a seaweed and contains iodine as a
byproduct of its natural lifecycle in the ocean.
At Flora Beverage Co. Ltd. of Calgary, Alberta,
Canada, we are uniquely qualified to manufacture this wonderful herbal
preparation.
We take advantage of our great western Canadian
environment, use only the best botanical ingredients, and apply our
hands on manufacturing experience dating back to 1921.
Every bottle of HOXSIAC is manufactured with
love and care by a master
craftsman.
